Preparing for Our New Kitchen

This week at Our Place, Sam the builder knocks out the old kitchen window and doors in preparation for our new kitchen, arriving next week.

This is a great opportunity to look at alternative styles of joinery, doors and windows; including materials more suited to our soon to be modern home. Joinery can make or break the look of a renovation. At Our Place the first thing we got rid of was the aluminium sliding door. Aluminium joinery doesn’t suit the style of Our Place, so we got Chris from Atarua Joinery to custom make a cedar door, and window to match.
