Space Saving Style

As the cost of buying, building and renovating homes continues to skyrocket, saving space has become a huge issue.  Space is money after all so any strategies to maximise space are being welcomed in the building world.

The good old sliding door or cavity slider is making a comeback in new and renovated homes to maximize space. Rather than swinging like a hinged door, a cavity slider gently slides into a hollow "pocket" in the wall. One minute it’s there, the next it’s gone! The advantage of a cavity door is you are able to use the extra space in a room that would normally be set aside for the door's swing.

Unlike the old noisy sliding doors that ride on steel rollers and have a habit of jumping off the tracks, today's systems are smooth and quiet, designed for trouble-free operation.
