Exhibition

De Witte House is closed for restoration. An ancient, crumbling old canal house in Amsterdam, this was the home of 18th Century Dutch Master Floris De Witte, and the walls of the house are littered with his paintings.

A team of art conservators has been recruited from the University of Amsterdam and her sister university in Australia. But each team member has a tragic secret… having lost someone close to them in recent years under tragic circumstances.

As they set about restoring the paintings,  strange things begin to happen.  There is dark energy in the air.  Hallways and doors seem to disappear and reappear. The paintings begin to change, incorporating elements of each of the tragic deaths, feeding on the grief of the conservators and ultimately consuming them alive.

Legend has it that back in the 18th century, De Witte had merged his artistic skills with the dark art of necromancy, mastering both… prepared to cut a deal with the dark forces to bring back to life his young daughter.

So as the conservators begin to disappear, the rest of the team go through denial and then a race for their lives as the spell De Witte cast centuries ago unfurls its bloodthirsty curse.

Exhibition is a high concept horror film, set in Amsterdam but filmed largely on set in Australia.
