Awakening the Spirits

Awakening the Spirits follows six Aboriginal men fresh out of prison and two Maori entrepreneur mentors, the Tamaki brothers, as they work together to establish a Nyoongar Cultural Centre some 40 minutes drive east of Perth.

The Tamakis have made their fortune through similar ventures in New Zealand, but will their strategy work in Western Australia?

We join this group of individuals on their journey, watching as they survive the highs and lows of setting up a new venture.

How will the wider Nyoongar community react? Will the ex-inmates stay focused on their goal? And what about the Tamaki brothers? With a reputation to uphold, they can't afford for the venture to fail.

Australia’s legendary punk band, the Saints come together for a one-off reunion gig.  This fly on the wall one-hour doco is a no holds barred look at the planning, rehearsals and politics of reuniting Brisbane’s most influential band and celebrating their 30 years of musicianship.  Oh this perfect day.
