Mark Overett, Creative Director
Mark has an international reputation as a Creative Producer of
light entertainment and factual television. He’s worked with
production companies in over 15 countries, particularly as a
format consultant on the comedy game show he co-created, In
the Dark. This began with Julian Clary on LWT (1995), was
nominated for a Golden Rose (1996) and has since rolled out as
a format into some 30 countries around the world. Mark went on
to consult and EP for TVNZ, IdtV (Holland), Distraction Formats (Canada) and Screentime (NZ). With New Holland Pictures, Mark has moved into feature film and recently produced Separation City. As NHP’s Creative Director, he manages creative strategy across the New Holland Group. He also drives the NZ arm of the business.

Cathy Overett, Managing Director
Cathy began in TV as a documentary researcher for natural
history filmmaker Gulliver Films in 1988. She contracted as
Writer/Director/Producer to the film unit of the Royal Society
for Protection of Birds in the UK in the mid-late 90s, creating
programs for television, video sell-through and information
points on nature reserves. During this time she was a Finalist,
New York Film & TV Festival (1996) for In Focus and was
awarded a Certificate for Creative Excellence, US International
Film & Video Festival (2001) for Web of Life. Cathy produced NHP’s first feature, Unfinished Sky, setting the company’s benchmark both at the Box Office and with awards. As Managing Director, Cathy drives strategic planning for the Group. She is on the board and Chair of the Queensland Screen Industry Council. Cathy is also the SPAA Queensland Chapter Head and on the Board of Screen Queensland.
Jessica Pyne, Development/Production Assistant
Jessica's television career began in the UK where she
worked for UK television production companies; Mentorn Media
and Folio Productions. Her production credits include Traffic
Cops, Motorway Cops, Grease the School Musical, The
Truth about Crime, Car Criminals UK, Dangerous Adventures
for Boys and Diet on the Dancefloor.
On returning to Australia, Jessica was one of three
successful applicants chosen by Screen Queensland's
Development Attachment initiative where she has joined us to
work primarily in development, publicity and production.

Anton Smit
Anton has been Creative Manager of various theatre companies in the Netherlands, Head of the Drama & Entertainment Department of public broadcaster VARA, Programme Director of IdtV and Consultant to the Dutch Film Fund. He founded IdtV Film BV in 1999 along with producer Hanneke Niens to make quality films for a mass audience. Their films, including Family (2001), Godforsaken (2003) and Cloaca (2003) have consistently won awards, with their Oscar nomination for Best Foreign Language Film 2004 for Twin Sisters being a highlight.

San Fu Maltha
San Fu has an extensive background in the international field of marketing & publicity (Warner Bros and Columbia Tristar) and distribution & acquisition (Meteor Film, Polygram and RCV).
In 1995 San Fu founded Fu Works; a film production company, which continues to successfully produce Dutch spoken films. The film Black Book(2007) received wide acclaim throughout the world, enjoying an international premiere at the Venice Film Festival, several awards such as three Golden Calves and was on the shortlist of contenders for the foreign-language Oscar.

David Wright - Company Director, NZ
12 years spent with TVNZ has given David an in depth understanding of the television production business. As GM of Wellington production complex, Avalon Studios, David oversaw production teams delivering a wide range of genres including children’s (What Now?, WNTV), special interest (Praise Be), lifestyle (Country Calendar, Good Morning), prime time reality (Dream Home, 100 Hours), docos (Bushy) and holds EP credits for 26 hours of period drama produced for international distribution (Dark Knight).
Emma Slade - Producer , NZ
Emma is our New Zealand Producer. Her career in
television began in the UK, working for blue chip
companies such as: Discovery Networks Europe, BBC
and Action Time. On her return to New Zealand, she has
worked on a great range of programming, from
entertainment to documentary, drama to popular factual,
comedy to kids. In 2003, Emma joined forces with
Tracy Nodwell and began Showdown Productions Ltd to
create a boutique company with a big vision which she
continues to operate. Her CV includes: Tracker (feature –period drama);Separation City (feature-comedy/drama
Rural Delivery, Series 1-5 (business show); Lost Boys (documentary series); Bride Flight (feature film – drama); Comedy Gala (comedy entertainment show); City Girls (entertainment series); and Good Hands, Lima Lelei (tv drama series).
